That's the question that is occupying a considerable amount of your brain energy these days. Beyond the "how could she do this to me?" is the question of whether or not she really is the good woman you believe her to be. Well you can rest secure in your judgment call. The truth is that good women sometimes do bad things. They make mistakes and sometimes even cheat on their husbands.

The real question you want to know the answer to is why. Why did she cheat on you? Why would she risk your marriage like that? Do these questions sound the list bit familiar or ring completely true?

Why do Women Cheat?

Women cheat for all kinds of reasons. Some of these reasons will be similar to the reasons that men cheat but for the most part cheating women are all about the feelings that the other man brings out in her and not about the thrill of the conquest.

With men it's often about the thrill of the conquest or just about an opportunity presenting itself. The reasons women cheat, for the most part (of course there are exceptions to every generalization) have to do with their emotional needs.

The real kicker though is that many women do not even realize the need or void exists until someone comes along who meets that need. It isn't something she knew to tell you about before hand. It wasn't something she could have asked you for because she didn't even know she needed it.

How Can You Meet Needs She Doesn't Even Know About?

This is a hard question to answer. There are some needs she'll have that are specific to her but there are some that are fairly common among women. In fact, not meeting needs like these will lead to cheating in many relationships. Since prevention is the best cure make sure you do these things for your wife.

• Show your appreciation. Let her know just how much the small things she does for you without complaint make your life better.
• Make her feel needed and important to you. Let her know how much you need her and how empty and chaotic your life would be without her.
• Make her feel beautiful. Telling her she's beautiful is one thing. Making her feel beautiful is something else entirely.
• Acknowledge her contributions to the relationship. An occasional thanks or even small token is a good start.
• Be there for and with her. She married you and wants you to be an active participant in her life.

It is possible to get your ex back after she's cheated but it is even better if you can prevent her need to cheat altogether from the very beginning.
